Access a pair of Sequence Logos for comparison

This subset of Tom Schneider's Sequence Logos is available for Flicker comparison. See the Flicker Reference Manual for more information on Flicker.

The two examples are CRP binding sites and FNR binding sites. These were prepared using the sequence logo software. Hints: (1) use the CONTROL key and left mouse button to position the images and align the corresponding sequence scale numbers or the low parts of the sine curves together. (2) When comparing sequence logos with a different scale, use three landmarks and the affine transform in Flicker to rescale one sequence logo image to the geometry of the other.

To Flicker compare two images:

1. First select a different image for the Left and Right images. This entails a) setting the radio button for the source type and b) selecting the particular image from the scrollable list or typing it directly. You may use any of the three from image sources available for both the Left and Right images. Note: you can only compare different images (not an image against itself).

2. Then press Go Flicker to generate a Flicker comparison of this pair of images.

3. Please WAIT while images load. Depending on the access speed of the web site where the images reside, this may take several minutes.

Flicker Image Comparison: Flicker is a Java program for comparing two images. See the Flicker home page for more information on Flicker.
