GELLAB-II is an integrated collection of programs for the analysis of 2D electrophoretic gels. Currently, it ran only on UNIX systems. These programs were developed at the Image Processing Section, in the Laboratory of Experimental and Computational Biology at the National Cancer Institute.
Open2Dprot project
A new effort, Open2Dprot.sourceforge.net is an open source project
to develop data mining tools for 2D protein expression data. The new
system is written in Java and will run on Windows, MacOS-X and
Unix. It will encompass tools for the analysis of 2-D and
n-dimensional protein expression data from various separation
methods. Visit Open2Dprot.sourceforge.net for more information.
A new downloadable application version of the Flicker gel comparison
software has been contributed to the Open2Dprot project (Open2Dprot.sourceforge.net/Flicker).
A new downloadable application of a 2D gel image spot detection and
quantification software has been contributed to the Open2Dprot project
(Open2Dprot.sourceforge.net/Seg2Dgel). [Currently
pre-alpha version]
A new downloadable application of a 2D spot list pairing software has
been contributed to the Open2Dprot project (Open2Dprot.sourceforge.net/CmpSpots). [Currently
pre-alpha version]
Public-access 2D gel image data sets
Seven
public-access 2D-gel image data sets used with GELLAB-II are being
made available for public use. Three of these are released as of
7-14-2004. The other four will be released later this summer.
