At various times I have positions available. They will be announced on my main home page.

• Postdoc positions open from time to time.
• Technician positions open from time to time.
• Student Intern Program (SIP) This program is available to students in high school in Frederick county and specific other local counties.
• Graduate students: Unfortunately, NIH does not have a graduage student program. However, the NIH-University Partnership Programs may provide a way for a graduate-level student from an outside university to work in my lab on one of the patent pending nanotechnology projects: molecular computing, molecular rotation engine or High Speed Parallel Molecular Nucleic Acid Sequencing. The Biophysics program at the University of Maryland, College Park may be appropriate for this. The bottom line is that you have to be accepted into a university program and then work in my lab. Graduate students have worked at NCI by this mechanism.
  • NIH-Oxford-Cambridge collaborations can support a graduate student if a collaboration exists between my lab and a lab at Oxford or Cambridge.
  • Fulbright Scholar Program
• Collaborations: I have many collaborations already, so if you are interested please tell me what you want to do and what resources you have. I have no way to provide you with funds.
• Volunteers: If you have your own resources or means of support, then it is possible to volunteer. NIH requires that you have an income of at least $25,000/year. The approval process takes about 2-3 months for a US Citizen and 6 months for non-US Citizen. Official information is at:
